VOTED #1 WEDDING DESTINATION IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

Imagine a secluded garden where beauty and serenity combine to provide the perfect setting for your wedding day. The sun streams through a canopy of trees to illuminate lush plants and delicate blooms. The gentle sound of the wind carries the songs of many birds as the enchanting sounds of 60 carillon bells resonate throughout the gardens.

Bok Tower Gardens invites you to celebrate your wedding day and reception in a truly natural setting. The splendor of nature provides an exquisite backdrop for your wedding, making memories that last forever.

The 205-foot marble and coquina Singing Tower is the focal point of the National Historic Landmark dedicated by President Calvin Coolidge in 1929. The architectural treasure has tile mosaics, sculptures, carvings and custom iron-work. Acres of ferns, palms, oaks and pines fashion a lush backdrop of flowering foliage and the spectacular seasonal color of azaleas, camellias and magnolias showcase an ever-changing work of art.

ENGAGEMENT PROPOSALS

Engagement

Engagement proposals are welcomed as long as these events do not block any paths, cause sound disturbances or interrupt the visitor experience. We have a few recommendations and options to help with your planning.

PLANNING AN ENGAGEMENT PROPOSAL

Advance reservations are not required and all celebration attendees must pay general admission, including witnesses, photographers, or videographers. Bok Tower Gardens is open to the public, thus areas of the Garden cannot be reserved for proposal events. Transportation is not available to any area of the Gardens. Proposals are not permitted inside the Yellin gates or The Singing Tower. We do not have the resources to provide a photographer and recommend you hire a professional or recruit a friend or family member to take photographs.

We recommend engagement proposals in these picturesque locations:

Sundial Overlook

Sundial Overlook

The grand vistas and moss covered oaks serve as a breathtaking backdrop for your proposal. The Singing Tower brings an added element as it peeks over the surrounding trees.

Step through our “sneaky” arch and stroll upon the swirls of a pebble mosaic created by sculptor Kevin Carman as your garden adventure begins. Those who may need a slightly larger entrance can walk through our beautiful entrance gate leading to a gorgeous overview of our children’s garden.

Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., the landscape architect who designed the Gardens, specifically designed the pathway to shield the view of the Tower until reaching this point. This grand view of the Singing Tower is the perfect place to pop the question.
