Rising Artist Concert Series

Presented in partnership with the Lake Wales Arts Council. This season’s Rising Artist Series once again features up-and-coming local musicians in the intimate setting of Pinewood Estate.

Jan. 31, 4:00 p.m.   –   Harrison School for the Arts
The Harrison School for the Arts presents a compilation of performance from their guitar, vocal and strings programs. Highlights include classical favorites and popular tunes.

Feb. 28, 4:00 p.m.   –   Southeastern University
Led by Music Department Chair Professor Charles Hulin, the Southeastern University faculty trio, Spiritus, will perform Brahms B Major Trio along with selected student performances on strings.

Mar. 20, 5:00 p.m.   –   Polk State College
In this special chamber music performance, difficult and daring pieces from Ysave, Paganini, Rossini and others will be performed by Professor Menchan on cello, Byron Marc Sean on piano, and Francisco Salazar Vara on violin.

Apr. 17, 5:00 p.m.   –   Harrison School for the Arts
In an encore performance, the Harrison School for the Arts presents a compilation of performance from their guitar, vocal and strings programs. Highlights include classical favorites and popular tunes.

Faculty and hand-picked scholars from Harrison School for the Arts, Polk State College and Southeastern University perform a variety of classical programs with piano, strings, woodwinds, guitar and vocals.
