Bok Tower Gardens and master stone balancer Adam Conard, also known as the artist ZOTO, will present the first full campus exhibition of stone balances. The exhibition Stories in Stone features 25 mind-bending stone balances housed in beautiful areas of the gardens. This show connects the rich heritage of Lee Lawrie’s stone sculptures to the bold artistic expression of modern stone balances. Through this collaboration, the exhibit encourages visitors to discover the importance of finding balance in life and prioritizing physical and mental health.
This exhibit will be displayed throughout the Olmsted Gardens and around The Singing Tower, juxtaposing Lawrie’s traditional stone carvings and sculptures with ZOTO’s balances.
Stories in Stone will captivate the young and young-at-heart using natural stones and historic marble leftover from The Singing Tower’s construction nearly 100 years ago.
