Paris was Cole Porter’s favorite city. Four of his musicals, including his brilliant early show “Fifty Million Frenchmen” and his late hit “Can-can”, are set in the City of Lights, and he and wife Linda lived there for the first decade of their marriage. Our tour of Paris will feature Porter’s songs about Paris, both celebrated and barely known, plus an insight into his life during his years there. Join Historian Charles Troy for an informative and entertaining talk about this incredible American composer.
