Pandemic Educational Program Changes
Due to an abundance of caution, only self-guided field trips will be available for the remainder of 2020. We will revisit this decision in the final quarter of 2020 and update our website with any revised information.
Self-Guided Field Trips
Invite your students to splash, climb, explore and learn in Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden. Hammock Hollow is 2.7 acres of water and wonders that will delight students ages 2-12. In Hammock Hollow, your students will play with sound to create melodies, find a stage to act their favorite stories, and climb over and through beautiful sculptures that subtly teach about the unique animals that make their home in Central Florida. Plan on spending at least an hour in Hammock Hollow before heading up to the Tower to look for your school from the mountain top.

Please note: Visitors must wear a mask when interacting with Bok Tower Gardens staff and when inside interior spaces. We do not require masks for individuals with health conditions or children under 2. Our staff has been trained to work with families that need additional assistance. Feel free to remove your mask or face covering when outdoors and physically distanced (6 feet apart). If your participants do not have masks, that’s ok, but we will require you to use the bathrooms that are not inside the Visitor Center.
Edward Bok said, “Wherever your lives may be cast, make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you have lived in it.” One way we can do this is to help save rare species so future generations can discover their uses and their beauty. The Rare Plant Conservation Program is an expression of Bok Tower Gardens’ conservation mission and works to conserve and enhance our understanding of Florida’s rarest native plants.
