Christmas at Bok Tower Gardens has become one of Central Florida’s favorite holiday destinations. With glittering decorations at the 22nd annual Holiday Home Tour at Pinewood Estate and bright, colorful poinsettia displays lining the River of Stone – we’ve added a touch of Christmas to everything we do at the Gardens. Decorating workshops, special nighttime carillon concert with live choir, and much more!

We invite you to gather with your family and friends and escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season. With a host of festive events, there is something for everyone to enjoy this Christmas at Bok Tower Gardens!

Holiday Home Tour at Pinewood Estate

November 25 – January 8  •  Open daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (except Christmas Day, open 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.)

Now in its 22nd year, the Holiday Home Tour at Pinewood Estate is the highlight of our Christmas at Bok Tower Gardens season of holiday-themed events. The 20-room, Mediterranean-style mansion is decorated by the members of the Amaryllis Club with this year’s design theme, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas!” Visitors are invited to re-imagine the house as the center of the Buck family’s Christmas activities, a warm hub of glittering elegance taking place in post war 1940s.

Saturday, December 3  •  6 p.m.

Enjoy the sounds of the season with the Orlando Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra and the Singing Tower carillon as they perform together during one of Central Florida’s favorite outdoor concerts. Flaming torches will illuminate the Olmsted-designed pathways leading up to the 205-foot Singing Tower, housing one of the world’s great carillons and featuring Gardens’ carillonneur, Geert D’hollander. Families and friends are encouraged to prepare themed picnics and experience a magical evening as the sun sets atop Iron Mountain. Three prizes will be awarded to those with the best picnic display in each category: Most Creative, Most Elegant, & Best Inspired by Holiday Home Tour “Home for the Holidays” Theme.

This day is very popular for the Holiday Home Tour. Visitors attending both the concert and the home tour on December 3 are encouraged to arrive early. Last entry to Pinewood Estate on December 3 is 6:00 p.m.

Christmas Carillon Concerts

November 25 to January 8

Immerse yourself in the sounds of the season as Carillonneur Geert D’hollander performs Christmas music from around the world during 30-minute live concerts at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday on the 60-bell Singing Tower carillon. Celebrate Christmas Day with Bok Tower Gardens as sounds of the carillon ring out during a live performance.

Included with general Gardens admission.

Celebration of Holiday Blooms & Music in December

November 25 to January 8

Christmas 2015 bromeliad tree_Andy Nichols_WUSFCelebrate the season and enjoy our time-honored poinsettia, amaryllis, and bromeliad displays. Holiday blooms abound in the River of Stone with hand-made poinsettia bouquets and ornaments, while peaceful arrangements adorn oak trees outside Pinewood Estate.

Visitors will also enjoy our 15-foot-tall Christmas tree created with nearly 350 bromeliads located just outside the Holiday Home Tour. A great holiday photo location!

Winter Walking Tours

November 25 to January 8 
Mondays–Saturdays 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. noon / Sundays 2 p.m.

Volunteer garden guides lead visitors on an hour-long winter walking tour, sharing information about the winter flora and fauna, with tours leading from the Visitor Center to the Singing Tower.

Included with general Gardens admission.

1940s Holi-DAYS

November 29 / December 6, 13, 20, 27  •  10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Be sure to see the vintage Model A’s outside Pinewood Estate, meet historical characters from the 1940s, and catch a few surprise personalities from the past.

Holiday Happy Hour


Wednesday, December 7  •  6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Join your friends for an early evening tour of Pinewood Estate and toast the season with a complimentary drink, light fare and holiday favorites on the piano.

Holiday Home Workshop: Living Succulent Wreath


Saturday, December 10  •  9 a.m. – 12 p.m. noon or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Spend the morning or afternoon with Project Blooming founder, Linda Worle creating a beautiful succulent wreath. It’s easy to mix succulents in an array of types and colors that will last year-round. Workshop includes instruction, basic framework materials, and plants.

$70/person. All materials are included. Reservations are required. Holiday Home Tour and Gardens admission included with ticket. Call 863.734.1222 for more information.

Gingerbread Houses with Mrs. Claus


November 27 / December 11  •  2 – 4 p.m.

Get ready for a sugar overload! Join us in our first annual gingerbread house event at the historic Pinewood Estate! Decorate your own gingerbread house and take a tour of the Pinewood house. Each participant will receive their own gingerbread house to decorate and storybook to take home, which will be read by Mrs. Claus herself.

$40 per child, includes Gardens and Holiday Home Tour admission, gingerbread house and storybook, and one chaperone. Additional chaperones, please purchase Christmas combo ticket.Reservations required.

Carillon & Chorale Concert plus Holiday Home Tour Open Late

Sunday, December 18  •  7:30 p.m.

Enjoy an hour-long carillon concert with a live choir under the evening stars. Before the concert, visit Pinewood Estate for a special nighttime tour complete with hot chocolate and cookies. It’s a unique opportunity to visit the Gardens after normal operating hours. Enjoy a light dinner at the Blue Palmetto Café before the concert for an additional fee. Last entry to Pinewood Estate is at 7:00 p.m. Visitor Center, Gift Shop and Café close at 7:30 p.m. Gardens admission for the concert is 5:00 p.m.

Tickets available at the entrance gate on day of event. Concert Only: $10/person; $5/child ages 5-12; Free/Children 4 & under; free for members. Concert & Home Tour: $18/person; $11/Child ages 5-12; $7 for members.
