Nature Adventurers: Nature Awareness
Things To Know
About the November topic: Being aware and noticing details is important in building a deeper connection to the natural world. Learning to be more aware will help children in studying nature. It also builds mindfulness and quiet through the beauty of nature.
About the Nature Adventure Program: At a time when we are feeling less connected than ever, the nature adventurer series is working toward cultivating a connection between nature, self, and community. Nature Adventurer classes work to restore the bond between people and nature. Families will learn alongside each other, to open up the natural world for your child, making it fun and meaningful. Working with your child’s interests to foster in them a sense of wonder and a deeper connection to nature and self.
Families meet at the picnic area. We will be practicing physical distancing by sitting at picnic tables. There will be short guided lessons for each topic, with mindfulness and nature education topics. Then families go out into the Gardens to practice the topic for the day.
