Join 3rd generation Caladium farmer Terri Bates for an informative talk about the history of the industry as well as tips on growing happy and healthy Caladiums in your garden. Terri will have some plants and bulbs for demonstration and will leave time for questions.
Terri’s family has been growing caladiums in Lake Placid, FL since 1944. She has a BS in Horticulture from UF. Before working for Bates, she was a vegetable farmer for Duda and a county extension agent. She has been President of the Southeast Greenhouse Conference, Past Chairman of AmericanHort (the national association of greenhouse and nursery growers) and Past Chairman of the Floriculture Committee for FNGLA.
