Founded in 1970, Asleep at the Wheel has been part of the American roots music landscape for more than 50 years. Although the band got its start on a farm in Paw Paw, West Virginia, Asleep at the Wheel became a cornerstone of the Austin, Texas, scene upon its arrival in 1973. Inspired by Western swing and honky-tonk country, the band has accrued 10 Grammy Awards. In the fall, a career retrospective recorded with the current lineup -- and a few special guests -- will carry the band back onto the road, where they’ve remained a staple for five decades.

Know Before You Go
The ticket price includes general admission to the Gardens. All ticket holders will receive a concert wristband at the entrance gate and this wristband must be visible at all times. The Entrance Gate will close at 8:00 p.m. and late arrivals will not be admitted. Purchasing in advance is recommended as the capacity is limited to 600 tickets and the gate will close if the capacity is reached.
Seating and What to Bring
Concerts will be performed on the Oval Lawn and seating will be available on a first-come basis. Ticket holders can begin setting up at 3:00 p.m. Blankets and low lawn chairs are permitted. Face masks must be worn while not seated in the listening area. All parties must remain at least 6 feet apart from one another. Restrooms will be available at the Visitor Center. A mosquito repellent station will be provided; however, you may want to bring your own supplies. Flashlights are also recommended.
What Not to Bring
Outside food & beverage are not permitted. Food and beverage can be purchased onsite. Dogs are also not permitted during the evening concerts.
Ticket price includes general admission to the Gardens. Tickets are available for purchase at www.boktower.org, in person at the Visitor Center or by phone at 863-734-1222. All programs and classes promptly begin at stated time and visitors are encouraged to arrive at least 10 minutes before class begins for check-in. Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the class start time. Culinary events are demonstration based and late arrivals may not be accommodated. For classes held after 5 pm, the entrance gate will stay open for an additional 30 minutes after the start time. Once the gate closes, late arrivals will not be admitted. Due to the nature of culinary events held at the Outdoor Kitchen, Bok Tower Garden may attempt, but cannot guarantee, to accommodate food allergies. Dogs are not permitted at any educational program.
