It is National Haiku Poetry Day!
Haikus are Japanese poems inspired by nature. They are easy to write because there are only a few rules: these poems have three lines, the first and third lines have five syllables each, and the second line has seven syllables.
In honor of this day, the Education team each wrote a haiku inspired by their favorite pictures of the Gardens. You can enjoy more haikus at Bok Tower Gardens Play, Learn, Grow Group Give it a try; we’d love to read yours in the comment section below! You can find more pictures on our website or Bok Tower Gardens Facebook page.
