If you ever thought dating was hard, this after-hours event at Bok Tower Gardens will remind you how great it is to be human! Join us for a new twist on the social scene as we mix science and socializing in the great outdoors. Discover the unexpected, and sometimes shocking, history hiding behind those innocent green leaves and delicate flowers as you enjoy the enchanting landscape of the Gardens at night. A lively half hour presentation, carillon concert, small nibbles, paired wines and microbrews for tiny prices ($2 each) will be available each night.
Gordon Slater will serve as the Bok Singing Tower guest carillonneur through April 15 and will host an audio visual presentation, “The Carillons of Canada,” at 11 a.m. in the Visitor Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
This inaugural event will be hosted by the Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, in which proceeds will benefit its educational and professional initiatives, as well as the George W. All participants and spectators will also have the opportunity to enjoy the Gardens after the race for FREE! The top three winners from standard age divisions will receive a trophy.
